Halloween

Image: www.theparanormalworld.net

The friends are gathering up for a party tonight! Nana is determined to drive all the way from Kemaman, Terengganu (She work there). And the rest are ready to join the party. (Trust me, she wont hesitate to go without us if we decline the invitation)

It’s been forever since we all went out party. I mean, at a club. It's a great timing for us to catch-up. And I am so looking forward to tonight. Not too much of the party, but because of the assignment I gave to my friends.

It’s a great opportunity for me as I am in the midst of making a HUGE decision. And I need their valuable input. We are meeting up at Lecka Lecka Bukit Bintang first.

Where are we partying?

Cheers!

Wedding Preparation

Last Saturday, me and my dear cousin, Fareeza went to Jalan Masjid India. His brother is getting married and we are the wedding planner :)
The bride and groom could not join us because they are both auditors by profession [very busy people]. Anyway, they are the client, so let's not bug them... YET...Hehe…

I have countless amount of cousins, but I must say that Fareeza is one of my favorite. We click. Having said that, you should be able to guess how much fun we had.

Our first spot was the SSF store. Fareeza has this brilliant idea of using these fancy boxes as the hantaran.

I liked it simply because I can see the boxes being appreciated not just during the wedding, but after that as well.

First we were just looking at the boxes, an hour later (and the non-stop cackle!), we were on the floor, with boxes all around us. The staff at SSF must be cursing us.

We only need 7 boxes, but we bought 10, just to be on the safe side. The stock is running fast and besides, Fareeza is on the quest of keeping some for herself!
The Boxes

This is Fareeza

Inspired by this, we're making a better one!

Next on our list were the shops along the road. We need to find a Lenga for the bride. It’s a full embroidery blouse, with matching skirt and shall.

Note : The wedding will be held in Pakistani style

We saw few nice (but very expensive) lengas. Took some pics to be shared with the bride & groom.

This is Beautiful. RM1600.

We like the design. Hate the colors!

This is nice. RM1800. Negiotable

This is superb!!!!

This is a sample of Kurta, which will be worn by the groom.

Note: Ignore the crazy colors & beads. I’m just snapping pics to show him the design.

Later on, it was Fareeza’s time to model the lenga. Hehe

We'll be visiting Nilai next week for our 2nd part of preparation

Cheers!

Another Day At Work

Another day at work -full of activity, phone calls etc etc..

I barely sleep last night simply because I know I have to wake up really early. I have a little problem when it comes to morning calls. I hate being late, and because of that, i have problem with shutting my eyes.

Well, anyway, manage to get out of my place on time and shoot to my client’s office. From there, we headed to NTV7 which is located at Shah Alam.

Ms Kim, the Country Head of Ciba Vision (FreshLook) is truly a warm person and fun to be with. I got acquainted with her from the first time we met. She was a little nervous to go on LIVE INTERVIEW. Manage to calm her down and gave her some tips on how to look & sound good on TV.

The interview was approx 10 mins. The breakfast team was a little busy (They were live on national Tv..lol!) so I quickly went and say hi to the "Mummy" & the rest of the gang. Took a picture with the gorgeous Jessica. Loved her brand new hair style.

Jessica

It is natural to go for breakfast after the breakfast show. After all, it was only 9.30am. We had a series of interesting conversations over breakfast and god knows how, we somehow came to the “age” topic.

Me : Take a guess about me
Ms Kim : You? The most is 32.
Me : What? Do I look that old?
Ms Kim : I said the most is 32. You cant exceed that.
Me : Huh? Still…
Ms Kim : Ok, how old are you?
Me : Im 26.
Ms Kim : I see, but you don’t look like 26. Maybe because of your maturity. You don’t speak like someone who is 26 at all.
Me : I take that as a compliment
Ms Kim : It is a compliment.

I need to shave. Seriously. This un-shaved look has to go.

Cheers!

The Breakfast Show Team

Thursday, 25th October 2007

Things are getting really busy. I have a campaign for my construction client, have to prepare another client for an interview and loads of other stuff to look after. After eid is usually the time for everyone to do something.

I rushed to NTV7 to deliver some stuff to the producer of “The Breakfast Show”. It is always nice to see Intan. She is THE COOLEST person! And the rest of the team at TBS are great. They are a bunch of cool and super-friendly people. Period.

Intan or better known as "Mummy" among the TBS team

Sheila Ningkan (Congrats on the promotion!)

As I was driving back to office, my phone was on constant ring. I must have answered 23 calls over the 40mins drive.

Got my car parked the usual place, rushed to McDonalds, got my McChicken and finish it within 5 minutes. Back to work. More calls and non-stop emails. Madness.

By the way, The Breakfast Show is hiring. Anyone interested to join the super cool team? Email me ;)

Interviews & A Birthday

Wednesday, 24th October 2007.

Its been a great week, so far. I have thousands of stuff to look after, but things are going pretty smooth.

11.45 am – I left office and drove the longest road to Astro. SingleTrackMind’s single titled “One Day” hit no #1 on the “Malaysian English Top Ten” or famously known as “MET 10”. And he was invited to the show.

MET 10 chart -One Day @ #1!!

I arrived at Astro approx 12.30. Alex was coming straight from the airport (He was from Miri).

It was really nice to be a silent listener at the interview. DJ Nazri & DJ Junior was really funny and very professional. They hardly made any mistakes and none of the conversation was repeated or re-recorded. It was a recording for the MET 10 show this Sunday.

Know what that means? It means I’ve heard (and witness) the show 3 days before the whole Malaysia did! Haha..

I had fun just listening to both of them interviewing Alex. You gotta tune in to 92.9 this Sunday, 4pm to know what I mean.

Once the interview is done, we headed to the cafĂ©. The food was okay. We met Sajeera there. She is a very very nice person. I know here back in 2005 when she was handling “Blast-off”. Didn’t get a chance to take her pic.

We rushed back to Alex’s place as he has another interview. It was with KL Lifestyle magazine. Christian is a very soft spoken but really awesome guy. I remembered him from the first time I heard his name, coz I fnd it very interesting. His full name is “Christian Mark Narayan”. How could u ever forget that name?

By the way, i'd like to wish Happy Birthday to Peter!!

Cheers!

TILL DEATH DO US APART

Can Love Last Forever?
24 October 2007
By Fedo

I was watching TV last night and suddenly gazette of a new program appeared and the character is screaming to the whole wide world “till death do us apart” and I can’t help myself from asking this question, “Can Love Last Forever”?

Love touched people life everyday and I can’t imagine a world without love.

"My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee, the more I have, for both are infinite." ~William Shakespeare

Making decision to live with your love one forever is somehow a very big decision to make. I wonder what are running into a girl mind the moment she walks along the aisle until the sacred statement was announced. There is no time to play runaway bride sort of drama. And probably what a guy is thinking when he waited at the end of the aisle for the bride to join him.

To say yes to the statement is not only to make sure that both of you will stay forever but it’s more to a commitment between two parties that they will cherish the love, nourish it every day and definitely will not make anything that can lead the other party feel hurt, betrayed or manipulated.

But being a human, there is no way that we can avoid making mistakes. It’s a nature. What a person could do is to reduce the mistake or the harm that will ever happen to other party.

But how many people survive in searching of true love that they can appreciate forever.

SIZES

Does size really matter?
23 October 2007
By Fedo

I woke up late this morning and rushed to work. Constant speed at 140km/h put me in the office at 9.30am. Suddenly my stomach came out with a very funny sound begging to be filled. So I decided to go for breakfast at my office lounge with my colleagues. Out of nowhere they started a topic which rather interesting to me.

They were talking about boobs. And most of them are girls. So, that drives me to this question, “Does boobs size really matter?”

According to them they are few ways to classify boobs. The most common way is to compare it with “Nasi Lemak” or its classy name “coconut milk rice in banana leaf”. The Nasi Lemak can be divided into few sizes depending on the price. Small boobs will be called 50 cents nasi lemak, medium boobs is RM 1 nasi lemak and big size would be RM 1.50 or even RM 2 nasi lemak. I must say that you can rarely get Nasi Lemak at those prices nowadays. “Inflation” should take the blame for that.

There is one more way to classify boobs sizes. Construction is the key word. Small boobs is single storey type, medium is double storey and big size is of course the bungalow.

I must say that I’ve seen them all. I find it rather interesting that people can actually relate boobs with things around them. I guess being a human; we appreciate a direct comparison so that we can picture it easily in our mind. I also wonder how the size can be a compliment or build a sense of insecurity to some girls.

I’ll stick to the free size.

EMOTIONS

Can People Hide Emotions Entirely?
22nd October 2007
By Fedo

It was a very cold morning as the rain keeps pouring continuously. Suddenly this question struck my mind “Can people hide emotions? I googled the meaning of emotion and emotion is actually a "complex of reaction pattern, involving experiential, behavioral, and physiological elements, by which the individual attempts to deal with a personally significant matter of event." It arises without conscious effort and is either positive or negative in its valence. (Thanks to Wikipedia). Being me, an ordinary layman, I would say emotion is a psychological affect on something in which resulted an expression (still sound funny to me)

Anyway, there are so many kind of emotions and each one of us has gone through it before or even now. Sad, happy, disappointment, anger, confuse, surprise and many more which you can get more in your YM or IM emoticons. Sometimes I do feel like, how hard I try to hide my emotion, but somehow people dear to me will notice it. Maybe because I’m so expressiveJ.

I noticed sometimes that people try their hardest to hide their emotions but somehow the eyes, lips, eyebrows, forehead or even ears will give the opposite sign. They are like fighting against you and you just have to try very hard to win the battle. The battle with your own self. I wonder who will ever win the battle.

The Red Party

The Red Party

This is by far the most difficult post. There were just too many stories to tell and tones of pictures to upload. I have taken way too much time to complete the story. It’s been more than 3 weeks, and I’ll try to recall as many as I could.

It was a birthday of Mr Fedo, a dear friend. I’m speaking not just on behalf of myself, but I’m sure most of my friends would agree with this statement.

I know this guy back then, when he was an intern at NAZA. He came in and led to the birth of Four Friends (Liena, Nana, Fedo and Me). We are beyond friends. Full stop.

He also have another group of close friends, Azli and Fariz. They were classmates since secondary school. Along the way, they met Izwan and Shah.

Back in Uni, he got acquainted with Alin and Is. All three of them did their internship at NAZA and Is got married to Elis, who works at the accounce department.

Groups dont usually grow or click with other group. And we all have proved it wrong. Credit to Fedo!

Last year, we had a surprise birthday party for Fedo. And it was a blast! So, this year we thought of throwing a planned party. Everyone was informed to block the date in early September.

“The Red Party” – That was the chosen theme. We wanted to do something wild (which is SO Fedo!) but since it's Ramadhan, we decided to go with something more appropriate.

The Invitation Card

But that didn’t stop our creativity! Haha.

Initially the idea was to have it at The Residence. But when I presented the invitation card to Fedo and Liena;

Fedo : Huh? The Residence?
Liena : Yea, why not do it at Lanson Place again?
Me : Well, eerm…. It never came across my mind. I thought The Residence is ok.
Liena : Awh, come on, let’s do it somewhere else. It’s Fedo’s birthday for god sake! Come lah…

For the record, this conversation was held 2 days before the party. I had to make few quick run here and there and settled with Flamingo Hotel. It was the nearest hotel to my place. I had a rather interesting conversation during the reservation

Executive : Your reservation is confirmed.
Me : Thank you.
Executive : But Sir, I have to inform you that our hotel is under construction at the moment. I will be noisy during daytime. From 9.00am to 6.00pm. Are you ok with that?
Me : I’m fine with that. But in return, I have to inform you that I might be noisy during the night. Are you ok with that?
Executive : Shouldn’t be any problem, so far the whole level is empty.
Me : We have a deal.

Note: When I say noisy, I meant the party.

Ok, let’s have a look at the deco of the suite. It was pretty horrible when we first went in, but thanks to the team, the whole room was converted into a red party!

Setting up

There were plenty of roses -Red of course!

I saw this candle holder 2 hours before the party.

We had red stuff on the menu as well.

Now, let's look at the guests:

Azli

Alin

Nana (she drove all the way from Kemaman for this party!)

Liena

Fariz

Izwan

[Pic not available]

Syah

Iskandar & Elis

Me

Everyone arrived around 6.30pm, we got ready and had our break-fasting together. Fedo was running late, and arrived slightly after 7pm. Since it's his big day, It's ok..

Break-fasting

Then, it was photography time!

Then, it was time to cut the cake.

Don't bother counting the candles. He's 26!

Now, let's have a look at a short video!

Everyone enjoyed the delicious Secret Recipe.

OOpss...

After 2 rounds of "Truth or Dare" session, we had another round of photography session!

Girl, u need a make-over!

P. Ramlee & Saloma?

Sexay... as always!

The night was filled with non-stop laughter and chatter. It may be a small gathering, but it was big enough to keep each of us entertained all night long!

Some left around midnight, but most of us stayed there and went out for sahur together. I can't really describe the fun we had. It's just beyond explaination.

Everyone got a Givenchy scented deco stuff as a souvenir.

The gift

Thanks to everyone who attended and help out during the party.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY FEDO!!!

What's next?

  • Izwan's Party -November- (Theme: To be identified)
  • Liena's Party -March- (Theme: Gothic)
  • Nana's Party -March- (Most Probably together with Liena?)
  • Secret Anniversary Party -March- (Theme: Back To School)

Cheers!
