Buka Puasa @ Yellow Cab

It was rather impromtu. One of my dear friend texted asking if we are up for break fst together. 12 phone calls later, we decided to go to Yellow Cab Pizza. I've heard of it before but never got the chance to check it out.

If you live in Ampang, i'm sure you have seen one of these on the road. Kinda cute. But very good choice I must say.. Very attention grabbing!

So, we ordered a set, Number 3 if i'm not mistaken. First we thought its not enough, but boy we were wrong!

8 pieces of Hot wings... we only ate one each..

Large Pizza: New Yok's finest -Superb!!
Small Pizza: Corona Chiken Salsa -Not bad

Charlie Chan Ckiken Pasta -A little spicy for me but good. My friends loved it.

Speghetti & Meatballs: I didnt even try coz too full.. It look a lil dry.

And this is the model of Yellow Yab... Directing me to the gents... lol

There were so much leftovers.. we all had 1 slice of each pizza and shared the speghatti. (Orang tamak selalu rugi kan?) hahaha

It was a nice buka puasa session with my darling Liena, Alin, Fedo & Azli. Like what i always say, the food was good but the company of all these beautiful people made the evening splendid!

Selamat Malam

This is a video I took at Nawal Al-Zoghbi's live in Malaysia concert. The opening show by Faizal Tahir.

He sang Selamat Malam and it was beautiful. That dude can really sing. I know the video is not the best (quality wise) but i'm sure his devoted fans will appreciate it :)

I like posting on youtube because it makes me feel like im sharing it with the right people. My video on Whitney Houstan has been viewed 83,000 times. It was her comeback show after a very long time, and her fans actually wrote to me saying thanks.

Check out the video:

Armoire

I believe that regardless of where you live (rented or owned) you have to have a place that is comfortable. In my opinion, it has to be a place where you look forward to go.

3 years ago I invested quite a bit in making my current apartment look homey and practical. A friend asked why do I have to waste money when I know I will need to move to my own apartment eventually.. My answer was... I like to be at home. And I need the place to inspire me.

Well, to cut the story short, I like the way it turn out. But on top of that, I liked it because I did it myself (Haha bangga!)

I did blog about me being busy getting things done, but never had the chance to post the end result. Lol.

Now that I am moving to my new place, I thought I’d blog about it (while its still in one piece).

Let me show you my dining area:

Yes, this is the dining area...

which has been converted it into a wardrobe

Note: It was super nice and properly coordinated when I first got it done

It's one of my fav thing at this apartment. I bought it from a shop that supply all these wardrobe stuff for boutiques and shops. Will be calling them again soon...

Beautiful Swimmers

Plaza Mont Kiara is a nice place for an office. Its been 4 years for me and I still like it. Ok, i'm a little tired of the food, but everything else is pretty good.

The Thursday market is pretty cool. I like to buy fruits from there coz it looks really fresh and (unlike the rest of the stuff), the price is good.

One thing i like about Plaza Mont Kiara is:

If you are super stressed out (or got nothing to do), you can always go to the courtyand and check out the fishes. It can be some sort of therapy.

Show.. reality

Reality tv show has changed the way we watch tv. Since the launch of Survivor, we tend to enjoy common n realistic drama acted by people from all walks of life.

Being on tv is no longer exclusive to those with looks.

Here in Malaysia reality show are very much entertainment based. Well...There were The Firm, which is similiar to The Apprentice. Let's not forget "what women want" -kinda interesting.

"Wanita Melayu" and "Imam Muda" were kinda innovative n relevant. The most current show is Digi Next Level.

But rating wise, shows such as "Alademi Fantasia", "One in a million" and "mentor" were doing better.

Once AF were at the top. But Just like AI, people just got tired of it after a while. Well, Mawi kinda drain the attention and the show went down after his season.

I kinda like the season where Tiara was the principal. She went all out with her 'transformation' theme n the boys were pretty succesfull (post-af).

As a viewer, i think we need something new all the time. Maybe it's about time for the stations to combine 2 elements.

Example: The Biggest Loser + Akademi Fantasia.

Get the contestants to perform weekly and at the same time, work out to loose weight! By the end of the show, we can see the complete transformation.

Hey, if Aizad can do it.. Of course Anyone can!

It is possible.

Sand

I just saw a cool video clip on 8TV. I don't know who is the singer or title of the song coz it was a Chinese number.

The video was really cool man. It has the singer lying on a white wall and the background were projected with a live "sand art". So cool.

I cant find the video clip online, but i found some really nice sand art. Enjoy!

Simple and most basic things can be extremely beautiful. u just need to look at it properly.

UPDATE:

Thanks to Jasper, i found the video!

Al-Layaly

I was about 16 when i first heard this song. It was in a cd of an Arabic compilation. I bought it out of curiosity and after going through the songs, i kinda liked "Al-Layaly".

I have this old habit of playing the same song over and over again until something new got my attention (I still do this now). So, for a while, the song were on my playlist.

On top of that, the music video was kinda cool & fun and the singer was hot! lol!

Recently, i had the privilage to meet her in person. My agency did the PR for the concert. It was kinda special for me as i know her songs.

At the press conference

There were some notable changes with her face, but i must say, she is still hot!. And her vocal is simply outstanding. I have not seen a singer with such powerful voice.

The show was very straight forward. It was just her accompanied by 13 musicians. No dancers, no props, no stage movements nothing. Just her belting out some crazy numbers for two hours. She didn't even stop for a quick break to change clothes whatsoever.

It was a good concert and people really enjoyed it. Everyone was up on their feet and dancing. It was kinda funny to see those in Jubah (Arabic Robe) dancing. On the other side, there was a group of guys doing some belly dancing moves.

Faizal Tahir did the opening performance and he was good. He sang Selamat Malam, which is a beautiful song.

I was kinda busy, and above was the only pic i have with her. lol

KL City

Kuala Lumpur's rapid growth has produced an array of fascinating and unique architecture. I've been living in Kl for about 8 years now but I am constantly amazed by the buildings around town. It is a very unique fusion of eastern, western elements surrounding traditional arts of Malaysia.

I can never stop looking at the amazing structures.

Taken from top floor of my apartment

Its beautiful from any angle!

You have to have a pic here :)

Rookies

I just realised that i have not blogged about the Rookies this year. Well, in case you are clueless, they are the all female RACING team. Not umbrella girls ok..

Me & my team had loads of fun with the girls this year. It was very interesting as 2 of them were from Brunei.

Puteri Ayu Jasmin (3rd year racing under Red Bull Rookies) were joined by Carmen Lim, a super cool person who loves automobile to the max. She even work at a workshop.

The lovely Bruneians were Liana & Melline. Super cool ladies! Since 2 of them are from Brunei, and their time here in KL are extremely limited, the girls went through a packed schedule. Newspaper interviews, magazine interviews, TV interviews were all the girls speak, eat and sleep in between training sessions.

Lets check out some of their unforgettable moments…

The girls had back to back interviews.. First was LIVE tv interview.. and then off to Utusan for make-up, interview and photoshoot. Once that is done, they went to Berita Harian & Harian metro for interviews and photoshoot.

Right after dinner, they were at 8tv for live interview with quickie.

The girls did a very good job in conveying the message that women can be part of motorsport. They have inspired many ladies out there.

Although they were exhausted, the team stayed fast, fun and fabulous both on and off the track. Good job Girls!

I must credit my colleague, Fazrah who did a very good job!
